Prices

All Traveling Cake Plate wedding and tiered cakes begin at $3.15 per serving with buttercream and are $4.00 per serving with fondant covered cakes.


Consultations

Each bride and groom will have the to opportunity to meet one-on-one with the cake creator.  You will receive a portable tasting kit of pre-selected flavors, some wedding cake information and have the opportunity to  discuss your wedding cake ideas.  You may set up a consultation by  following these 3 easy steps:

  • 1. Call or e-mail us for a price quote.
  • 2. Choose the consultation right for you!
    • A. Bridal Showcase Events: Taste your favorite flavors at any public tasting event or bridal showcase. FREE (Details will be posted.)
    • B. Semi-Private Meeting: Join Traveling Cake Plate in a quiet public place where you can taste 3 of your favorite wedding flavors at a more convenient time for you. ($15)*
    • C. Private In-Home Consultation: We will conduct a private consultation at your home for cakes yielding 150 servings or more to help make wedding planning easy and convenient for you.  (Starting at $25)**

*Consultation fees will be applied to your final wedding cake balance.

Groom's Cakes

Groom's Cakes are available upon request and  are priced like party cakes.  There is an ongoing $50.00 chocolate/chocolate single layer 10"x10" square groom's cake special. This cake serves 38 people and can be decorated with frosting art of the groom's favorite  team logo or university logo. This cake is delivered the same day as the wedding cake and must be ordered no later than 2 weeks before your reception. This groom's cake special is only applicable with the purchase of a wedding cake of $200 or more.

Secret Cakes

 "Our Little Secret" Cakes are AWESOME solutions for the bride or party planner on a budget. Traveling Cake Plate’s "Secret" cakes, commonly known as kitchen cakes, are the same height and flavors of your beautifully decorated Traveling Cake Plate wedding cake.

After you and your spouse have completed the cake cutting ceremony, your smaller tiered wedding cake will simply be rolled to the kitchen. There, the tiered cake and secret cake will  be sliced and served like normal. Guests will never know because they will never see or taste the difference.

  • Secret Cakes cost $75.00 and serve 60.  You may purchase only one per wedding cake of $200. or more.
  • Sugar Flowers, Figurines, and Other Decorative Elements
  • Sugar flowers are extra and usually run about $35/dozen. Fondant/Gumpaste figures and toppers begin at $35 per figure.

Delivery, Set-Up Fees and Taxes

We will deliver your wedding cake at least 30 minutes to an hour before your reception begins. Additional delivery charges may be assessed.  However, when we quote you a price, it is our intent to give you a complete and comprehensive total so that there will be no surprises when final payment is due.  The North Carolina tax rate is 7.5%.  Set-up is already  included in the  quoted price.

Allergies & Less Sweet Options

We offer NO allergy guarantees nor do we currently have any less sweet options for diabetics or others concerned with health issues.  Our motto is ..."Cake is good for you in moderation!"
